Ward 19 Cumberland
Rob Jellett was first elected to Ottawa City Council in 2003 and represents Cumberland Ward which encompasses a very large area including the villages of Cumberland, Carlsbad Springs, Navan, Sarsfield, Vars and large and growing part of Orléans.
Rob currently sits on the following Standing Committees of Council:
- Chair of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs;
- Corporate Services and Economic Development;
- City's Long Range Financial Plan Committee.
He also currently serves on the following Advisory, Board and Authority Committees:
- South Nation Conservation Authority;
- Cumberland Heritage Museum Board;
- Pine View Municipal Golf Board;
- The City of Ottawa Superannuation Fund
- Manotick Mills Quarter Board of Directors;
Prior to being elected in 2003, Rob worked as the Executive Assistant to the previous Cumberland Councillor and before that worked 18 years in radio broadcasting, rising to the position of Assistant News Director of CFRA.
Rob and his wife Susan moved to Cumberland in 1985 and now with their two children, continue to watch as Cumberland grows into a rich, diverse and integral part of the City of Ottawa.
